Independence

wcclasscode does not accept payment from carriers, brokers, or law firms in exchange for ratings, ranking, or placement. We display ads via Google AdSense; ad inventory does not influence editorial coverage.

Sourcing

Every rate cell, max-benefit figure, and statutory citation must trace to a primary source: state insurance department filings, rating-bureau publications, or the relevant statute. Source URLs appear on every state page.

Verification

Cells are tagged HIGH, MED, or LOW confidence based on whether a verbatim evidence string from the primary source could be quoted. HIGH cells include the quoted excerpt on the cell page.

Corrections

Spotted an error? Email us with the page URL and the source you'd like us to verify against. We update the cell or fact within 5 business days, and add a correction note on the page if the change is material.

AI use

We use Gemini 2.5 with Google Search grounding for fact-checking and editorial drafting. Final review is human; final publication is human-approved. AI-only content is never published.

Conflict of interest

Editorial staff hold no positions in carriers, brokers, or law firms covered. If an editor has a personal connection to a covered entity, they recuse from coverage of that entity.
